ColdFusion 8 and LiveCycle Data Services: Part 1

welcome 2009!

After reading the posts of Dan Vega, I decided to take a risk and to begin the year with a series of posts involving the integration between ColdFusion and LiveCycle Data Services.

It will be a small and simple application, but will have features as datapush and dataconflict.

In the moment I am working in this model:

  1. The container of List of Users, with button Add user and combobox to filter for groups
  2. The data grid will display the users and with the possibility to delete the user
  3. The container of Edit Users with the cancelling button of updates and the button of save
  4. Form fields to edit the user's data
  5. Conflit information window

Initially it is this. I hope to help in some way and to learn more and any suggestion it is welcome.

I will get to work on part 2 on this weekend.

Marc Esher's Gravatar Definitely looking forward to it. Will you be using the built-in LCDS ES in CF8, or standalone?

Steven Erat's Gravatar I look forward to your series as well and I'm sure it will get lots of attention. During ColdFusion 8 development at Adobe I performed testing of the built-in LCDS integration for ColdFusion (via RMI and native Java API call). It was my first introduction to LCDS, and it required about a month before I understood how the moving parts worked together.

Tofinha's Gravatar Hi Marc,
thank you for the comment!
I made available the second part, where we began the project. I am using built-in LCDS in CF8

Tofinha's Gravatar Hi Steven,
thank you for the comment!
I am still learning about that integration, but I hope to contribute with information that can help in the projects involving CF and LCDS
There is a lot what to learn and I am very interested in learning more! :-D
